Report: Syria believes Russian offer will prevent US strike

Lebanese news website El-Nashara reports that senior officials in Damascus have estimated that Syria's response to the Russian compromise offer on its chemical weapons has taken the option of an American strike off the table.
According to the report, the sources said the Syrian response embarrassed US President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry. (Roi Kais)
