Ambassador Shapiro: It is not time to remove pressure from Syria
US Ambassador to Israel Dan Shapiro addressed the Syrian crisis and said "it is important that the international community curbs the use of chemical weapons. If we can do that without a military attack, it is better for everyone, but deterrence through force is still relevant and discussed in Congress."

He added: "There is more time in this process for diplomatic measures of the international community, perhaps mediated by Russia, in order to see if there is a solution. In our opinion, it is not the time to remove pressure without setting a timeline." (Gilad Morag)
