Steinitz: Claim that Israel spies for US false
Strategic Affairs Minister Yuval Steinitz told Ynet that he firmly rejected reports that Israel was spying on the United States, calling them "patently false."
"Since the Pollard case, following which Israel promised not to carry out intelligence operations in the US, the government and intelligence has refrained from any such activity," said Steinitz. He was responding to reports in the UK’s Guardian, which were based on leaks from former American intelligence agency whistleblower Edward Snowden. (Ron Ben-Yishai)
