Syria to publish chemical attack report at same time as UN
Syria's UN Ambassador Bashar Jaafari told Lebanese newspaper An-Nahar that Syrian authorities are examining samples from the site on the outskirts of Damascus where there was an alleged use of chemical weapons against civilians in August.
According to him, the Syrian regime is preparing a parallel report to the one prepared by the delegation of UN inspectors to Syria that is expected to be published next week. Jaafri announced on Thursday night that Syria has legally become a member of the chemical weapons nonproliferation treaty. (Roi Kais)
