EU's Ashton welcomes Syrian chemical weapons agreement

The European Union's foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton said she welcomes the agreement that was achieved between the US and Russia that would ensure that the Syrian chemical weapons would be dismantled.
She added that the EU is willing to send experts to help secure the chemical sites, as well as dismantle and destroy the chemical weapons. She further added that she hopes the agreement will pave the way for a political solution to the Syrian crisis and called on the international community to help end the suffering of the Syrian people.
