Jordan's interior minister: Over 2,000 Syrian officers defected

Jordan's Interior Minister Hussein al-Majali told the Jordanian paper Al-Rai that since the beginning of the Syria crisis, over 2,000 defected officers have fled to Jordan, where they received military housing from the Jordanian government.
He told the paper that Jordan doesn't forsake those who seek help and that it will remain an asylum, but not at the expense of the security of the Jordanian people. (Roi Kais)
