Videos documenting similar incidents have recently been posted on various social networks. In one such incident that took place in the Qalandiya refugee camp, three Palestinians were killed by Israeli security forces when the arrest of a wanted terrorist sparked a riot.

The Border Guard said in response to the recent incident: "During Yom Kippur police and Border Guard officers were summoned by the residents of Anata to deal with an incident involving a family dispute. The forces entered deep into the village to prevent the further deterioration of the situation and to restore order.

"After the mission was completed and the officers were leaving the village, they were attacked by a mob. To avoid further escalation or the loss of life, the forces left the village. The incident ended without injury, but damage was caused to a number of the forces' vehicles," said the Border Guard.
