Additional economic measures expected by 2016

None

The Bank of Israel revealed its updated assessment by which the current government might execute economic measures totaling NIS 21.5 billion.

The new assessment follows the changes the National Bureau of Statistics is using to estimate GNP. Following the changes, the estimates for GNP rose from NIS 929 billion to BIS 996 billion. Economic measures by the Finance Ministry amounted to NIS 32 billion—NIS 18 billion due to budget cuts and another NIS 14 billion due to raised taxes. (Avital Lahav)
