New commander to police's Lahav 433 unit, battling organized crime

Police's Major General Menashe Arviv was appointed Monday as the new commander of the Lahav 433 unit, whose main role is to fight organized crime. In the past, Arviv was the public security attaché and liaison officer to the United States and Canada, as well as Central Command chief.
Internal Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovich congratulated Arviv and said: "I ask of you to treat them with force, it is a mitzvah to do so. In this war there is only one winner, and that is the police." (Eli Senyor)
