Merkel: No military use made of chemicals Germany gave Syria
None
German Chancellor Angela Merkel said that in Syria’s chemical weapons attacks, no use was made of some 137 tons of chemicals transferred from Germany to the Syrian government. The materials provided could theoretically be used in the creation of sarin nerve gas.
"To my knowledge they were used only for civilian purposes," said Merkel. She added that officials are still looking into what happened with the chemicals Germany provided. (Ynet)
