Pope: Religion should not interfere with gay, lesbian life
Pope Francis said that religion has the right to express its opinion but not to "interfere" in the spiritual lives of gays and lesbians, CNN reported. He added that women should play a central role in decisions of the Church, and dismissed critics who claimed he needed to speak up strongly against abortion and gay marriage.
In July, Francis said that gays and lesbians should not be judged or marginalized, and they should be integrated into society. (Ynet)
