Iran's foreign minister says he discussed the country's nuclear program during "a good meeting" with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.
Mohammad Javad Zarif, a former UN ambassador, returned to the United Nations on Thursday for the first time since he became foreign minister. "We had a good meeting with the secretary-general, discussed various issues of interest to all countries, including Iran, and the United Nations," Zarif told reporters. "We attach great importance to the role of the United Nations, and we had a good discussion on the nuclear issue and on other issues." (AP)
