A violent weekend: 1 shot, 3 stabbed

In four unrelated incidents throughout country four people were wounded in crime related violence. 30-year-old man shot to death in south; 58-year-old stabbed, allegedly by nephew, 2 youths in 20s stabbed

A 30-year-old man was shot and killed near Kuseife Junction in the south at around noon Saturday. MDA paramedics who were alerted to the scene found the man without life and with bullet holes in his upper body.

 

Meanwhile, a 58-year-old woman from Tirat Carmel was seriously wounded after being stabbed in her upper body. The woman's 20-year-old nephew was arrested in connection to the stabbing. The background to both the events is still unclear

Earlier during the night a youth in his 20s was seriously injured after sustaining a stab wound to the head during a brawl in Haifa.

 

MDA paramedics administered initial medical assistance and then evacuated the youth to the Rambam Medical Center in Haifa for further care. The background of the brawl is also still unknown.

 

An additional stabbing incident was reported, also as part of brawlm this time in Rishon Lezion. In this case a 27-year-old suffered moderate injuries after being stabbed in his upper torso. Paramedics evacuated him to Sourasky Medical Center in Tel Aviv.
