Egypt launches operation against militant strongholds in El-Arish

The Palestinian news agency Ma'an reported that Egyptian army and security forces launched a land operation against militant strongholds in Sinai's southern El-Arish. The operation is backed by the Egyptian Air Force.
Egyptian Apache helicopters attacked areas with large concentrations of militants and weapons in El-Arish Saturday. It was further reported that 15 militants were arrested during the operation. (Roi Kais)
