Gantz on attacks: Tragic combination of events, not trend

IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen Beny Gantz said at the traditional Sukkot event at the Kirya base in Tel Aviv, "Every day there is friction in the Golan Heights, Assad loses control and Syria becomes a potential base for terrorist organizations."
Gantz said in reference to the shooting attack in Hebron and the murder over the weekend of an Israeli soldier, "This is a reminder that even though everything seems quiet and peaceful, the IDF still faces events in all sectors. This is a tragic combination of events, but we do not see a trend.” (Yoav Zitun)
