Kenyan troops have been seen running around outside the mall under siege in Nairobi, with sounds of sporadic gunfire ringing out. A witness said several blasts were heard as well, and smoke is rising above the area. A Kenyan Red Cross official, Abbas Guled, said there have been clashes inside the building.
Monday is the third day of the siege at the shopping complex, where militants from Somalia's al Qaeda-linked al Shabaab group have threatened to kill hostages. Fifty nine are already reported dead. (Reuters)
