Egypt: Hundreds of Islamists in Sinai arrested this month
An Egyptian security source told the Sky Arabic network that over the past three days, 43 armed Sinai militants were arrested. Another security source told Egyptian newspaper al-Youm al-Saba'a that since the beginning of its operation against Islamic militants more than two weeks ago, over 350 armed fugitives have been detained.
Security forces have mainly been focused on areas near the villages Rafah, El-Arish and Sheikh Zweid, as well as the villages near the border with the Gaza Strip and Israel. (Roi Kais)
