State appeals against release of Palestinian
None
The State has appealed to the Administrative Court against the decision of the parole board to release Palestinian prisoner Jihad Dakmak, who was sentenced to nine years in prison for three violent robberies of taxi drivers and 37 other offenses. This is his fifth arrest.
The petition alleged, among other things, that police oppose early release for Dakmak because it is not possible to monitor an inmate who lives in the Palestinian Authority. (Raanan Ben-Zur)
