State: Entry of settlers to Machpelah house not approved
None
The State responded to the High Court of Justice in regards to the petition filed Monday against the habiting of Hebron's Machpelah house by settlers who claim ownership.
In its response, the State explains that Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon allowed a permit that states the settlers can inhabit the house if it is found it was indeed lawfully bought. The State stressed that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's order was in that spirit, and that no approval was given to inhabit the house before it is lawfully documented under those who claim ownership.
