Obama: Choking children with gas cannot be legitimized

US President Barack Obama said that the treaty to disarm Syria of chemical weapons must lead to a wider political solution. He added that he does not believe that it is the role of the US or any other nation to decide who will lead Syria, but the Syrian people must decide that only.
However, the American president added that a leader that uses gas against children cannot be legitimized. He further added that the idea that the status quo from before the civil war can be reinstated in Syria is a fantasy. (Ynet)
