Obama: US disconnect from world will leave leadership vacuum

None

US President Barack Obama repeated his stance that his country has a special place in international diplomacy. He said that the US has proven its sacrifice and that they do not only work towards achieving their own goals, but for the goals of the entire international community.

This stance was criticized by Russian President Vladimir Putin in an editorial release by the New York Times. The American president said that risk is not that the US intervenes too much in world affairs, but that it disconnects itself and leaves a leadership vacuum. (Ynet)
