Lebanese report: US refuses to grant entry to Syrian FM

Hezbollah-affiliated Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar reported that the US State Department refused to grant a visa to Syria's Foreign Minister Walid al-Moallem in recent days. Moallem is supposed to head the Syrian delegation to the UN General Assembly.
Al-Moallem is expected to speak on behalf of Syria on Monday. According to the paper, the minister and the Syrian delegation, through UAE mediations, were given visas that allow them to enter New York only, and not any other areas in the US. (Roi Kais)
