Police: Exposing Iranian spy was requested by senior levels
The Petah Tikva Magistrate's Court extended by eight days the remand of Ali Mansour, a Belgian citizen who is suspected of spying for Iran. A police representative said in the hearing that the motion for revoking the gag order and allowing the exposure of the case came from senior levels.
According to the Shin Bet, Mansouri, 55, was directed by his operators to establish businesses in Israel in order to provide a cover for Iranian intelligence operations inside Israel. (Raanan Ben-Zur)
