Lapid orders immediate transfer of bonuses to interns
Finance Minister Yair Lapid ordered the immediate transfer of promised bonuses to doctors currently in their internships, as the state had promised in an agreement signed in 2011.
Lapid told Israel Medical Association Chairman Dr. Leonid Eidelman that he ordered Commissioner Kobi Amsalam and Deputy Commissioner Moshe Bar-Siman Tov to allocate the necessary funds to ensure that every intern gets what he deserves, as agreed. This includes both grants to interns in the periphery and to interns in medical professions with a shortage of doctors. (Ynet)
