Education Minister Shai Piron expressed deep grief over the death of Rabbi Ovadia Yosef and said: "Together with hundreds of thousands of his followers, I mourn today the death of Rabbi Ovadia Yosef. The rabbi was one-of-a-kind genius in law and public leadership. The rabbi left an indelible mark on the history of Am Yisrael.
