UK consul in Israel: Rabbi Ovadia Yosef wanted peace

British ambassador in Israel Matthew Gold said following the death of Rabbi Ovadia Yosef that he was mourning the passing of Shas spiritual leader Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, "Ihad the honor of meeting him and witnessing his unique spirit. I was lucky enough to see up close the love for man which he had, and his desire for peace," he said.
