Ya'alon: Rabbi Ovadia Yosef showed true concern for state

Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon commented on the passing of Rabbi Ovadia Yosef and said, "I knew Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, may his memory be blessed, since I served as head of military intelligence, when I met with him at his request in order to put before him my observations on various subjects related to state security. The rabbi was an impressive person and exceptionally smart. He expressed true concern for the country, and his unique leadership leaned on his wisdom. His absence will be felt in Israeli society."
