Peres on Ovadia Yosef: Great man, I'm choked with tears

Israeli President Shimon Peres eulogized Rabbi Ovadia Yosef and said, "My throat is choked with tears. I pressed his hand when it was still warm and kissed his forehead. When I pressed his hand, I felt I was pressing the hand of history. The rabbi was a great man. His contribution was in his greatness and his love of the land."

The president ended with some personal words of parting, "My teacher and my rabbi, rest in peace and sleep in peace." (Noam Dvir)
