Speaking at the Israel Towards 2020 Conference at Bar-Ilan University, IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Benny Gantz described a possible scenario for a future war in which al-Qaeda will attack an army patrol in the Golan Heights and kidnap a battalion commander.
He said that during such a war rockets will be fired at the Galilee region and Eilat, while hundreds of Hamas terrorists will rush toward the Ereze crossing on the Israel-Gaza border. (Yoav Zitun)
