El Al flight from Bangkok lands in Eritrea due to malfunction

El Al Airlines flight 082 from Bangkok to Tel Aviv landed in Asmara, capital of Eritrea, due to an engine failure. The plane, a Boeing 767, landed safely and there were no injuries among the passengers.
El Al responded that "the company sees flight safety as the highest value and does not compromise on the matter. We are doing everything it takes to get the customers home safely and securely." (Shachar Chai)
