Jordan criticizes Israel plan for Red Sea airport

Jordan is criticizing an Israeli plan to build a new international airport on the Red Sea, very near Jordan's airport in the Gulf of Aqaba.
Jordan's civil aviation chief Mohammad Quraan says the edge of the planned Israeli airport - if it were built - would be 200 meters (yards) away from the Jordanian one, which would present a huge risk to air traffic safety. He said Wednesday Jordan would "be forced" to take legal action if the Israeli plan for an international airport in Eilat went ahead. (AP)
