Libya: Ex-rebels responsible for kidnapping PM

The gunmen who siezed Libyan Prime Minister Ali Zeidan from a Tripoli hotel on Thursday morning are from a former rebel faction, the government said. Guards at the Corinthia Hotel said gunmen had taken Zeidan from the hotel, but no shots were fired during the incident.
One guard described it as an "arrest" while another told Reuters the men were militants. Al-Arabiya television quoted Libya's justice minister saying that Zeidan had been "kidnapped" and showed what it said were stills of Zeidan frowning, surrounded by men in civilian clothes pressing closely around him.
