AU official: ICC treating Africa with disdain

An African Union official has urged African foreign ministers meeting in Ethiopia not to allow the International Criminal Court to continue treating the continent and "Africans in a condescending manner."
The chairman of the Executive Council of the African Union and Ethiopia's Foreign Minister. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus. said Friday that far from promoting justice and peace, the ICC has become a political tool used to target Africans. Foreign ministers gathered at AU headquarters in Ethiopia to deliberate the continent's relationship with the ICC. The ministers' recommendations may be endorsed by African heads of state meeting Saturday. (AP)
