Driver jailed for 3 years for hit-and-run of couple changing a tire
Lod's District Court sentenced a driver to three years in jail for running over and killing Shani and Ziv Karayef, a couple who were changing a tire on the side of the road when the accident occured, and escaping the scene.
The truck driver, Ronnie Levy, was convicted of abandonment, and will also pay the family NIS 40,000 in compensation. (Naama Cohen-Friedman)
