The leadership of the Shas party has convened at the house of its recently deceased spiritual leader, Rabbi Ovadia Yosef. They sat around his table, leaving his seat at its head empty.
Shas Chairman Aryeh Deri said: "It is very difficult for us, hard for us to accept that his chair is empty and next to it a memorial candle burns… We have no choice, we must continue, all we will do will be the will, way and legacy of the rabbi."
