Obama to meet Congress about shutdown

The White House announced that President Barack Obama will meet with senior Democrats and Republicans in Congress Monday night (10:00 pm Israel time) to end the shutdown within three days, if Congress doesn't raise the national debt ceiling.
Leaders of world economy and financial systems have been beseeching the Congress to bring the shutdown to an end. Obama clarified he will not negotiate under extortion and that Congress must do its job and indicate a budget and amounts needed to pay debt. (Yitzhak Benhorin, Washington)
