Peres at Rabin memorial: Never stopped seeking peace

President Shimon Peres spoke at the memorial service marking 18 years to the murder of Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin at Mount Herzl, saying: "Yitzhak Rabin stood at the front of the people and the nation in the fight for its foundation and in the defense of its life."
He added: "Rabin never stopped seeking the troubled chance to the yearned path of peace for our people. Yitzhak recognized the historical need of Israel to reach peace with our Palestinian neighbors, and made peace with Jordan." (Noam Dvir)
