Technological colleges launch strike

More than 20,000 students will miss classes Sunday, as the technological colleges have announced a strike in protest of the Finance Ministry's reluctance to transfer funds they claim will save them from collapsing.
The heads of the technological collages began hunger striking three days ago, and Saturday announced the beginning of the wider strike. They are demanding the Finance and Economy Ministries transfer NIS 140 million and formulate a reform to save the colleges. (Shahar Chai)
