Justice Minister Livni: I'll fight attempts to harm Supreme Court

Justice Minister Tzipi Livni commented on Right-wing MKs' legislative initiative to curb the Supreme Court's powers and said: "I'll fight any attempt to harm the Supreme Court and the State of Israel as a Jewish and democratic state."
Livni added: "Levin and Bennett's dangerous proposals are meant to weaken the Supreme Court and I'll oppose it wholeheartedly. The politicizing of the judiciary will not only diminish its standing and role, but also lead to loss of public trust in the system." (Moran Azulay)
