Report: US intercepted phone calls of French citizens

The United States' National Security Agency intercepted the telephone calls of millions of French citizens, reported the newspaper Le Monde, based on documents leaked by whistleblower Edward Snowden. According to the story, between December 2012 and January 2013, the NSA recorded 70.3 million phone calls. (AFP)
