The Histadrut Labor Federation has declared a labor dispute with Israel Railways, in wake of what it calls "unilateral moves which threaten worker's safety."
According to Avi Edri, head of the Histadrut's transportation workers unit, commuters will be unaffected by the move. The dispute pertains to all of the Israel Railways' 2,300 employees and can prevent further action for only two weeks. (Hillel Posek)
