Israel awards Bloomberg $1 million 'Jewish Nobel'

Israel has recognized New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg as the first ever recipient of a $1 million award popularly dubbed the "Jewish Nobel Prize."
The Genesis Prize Foundation said Monday that Bloomberg was the winner of the inaugural prize. According to the foundation, the award recognizes "exceptional human beings who, through their outstanding achievement, come to represent a fundamental value of the Jewish people." (AP)
