Palestinian arrested in connection with south TA rape

A 27-year-old Palestinian resident of the territories was arrested on suspicion of the rape of a young woman which took place in south Tel Aviv one month ago. According to reports, the young woman was out at a club, and the Palestinian drugged her drink, causing her to lose awareness. When she exited the club, the man dragged her to an alley, raped her and stole her wallet, jewelry, and cell phone.

The man is scheduled to be remanded today in Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court. (Eli Senyor)
