Egypt's public prosecutor referred four police officers to trial over the deaths of 37 Islamist prisoners teargased in a transport truck in August, the official MENA news agency reported on Tuesday.
It would be the first trial of police officers accused of killings in a massive crackdown on Islamists which followed the army's July 3 ouster of elected president Mohamed Morsi. (AFP)
