Deri: Likud-Beieinu responsible for Leon's failure in Jerusalem

Shas Chairperson Aryeh Deri commented on Moshe Leon's loss to Nir Barkat in the Jerusalem mayoral elections: "Shas brought everything it had – 35,000 votes all to Moshe Leon. The Likud- Beiteinu completely failed."
Speaking to Kol Barama radio, Deri said that Shas would join the Barkat's city council coalition, adding that Barkat "is not, God forbid, an oppressor of Jews; he is not Yair Lapid." MK Avigdor Lieberman did not comment. (Kobi Nachshoni and Moran Azulay)
