Couple who torched highway camera sued for NIS 120,000

The Haifa District Attorney's Office filed the court with a lawsuit to the sum of NIS 120,000 against two youngsters from Or Akiva who were found guilty of torching a highway camera on Route 4 in July 2012.

In the incident, a driver is seen on the camera's footage driving over the speed limit. She called her friend who torched the camera. The friend was sentenced to six months in prison and a fine, and the young woman will serve 500 hours of community service. (Ahiya Raved)
