Report: Egypt's security apparatus searching for wiretaps in gov't

Egyptian media is reporting that Egypt's security apparatus has begun an intense investigation into the possibility that a number of government offices – including the office of the prime minister, the interior, and other sensitive facilities – have been bugged with spying equipment.

The investigation is the result of the reported American wiretap found in the Presidential Palace, allegedly placed there during the reign of the Muslim Brotherhood. In addition, the apparatus is currently taking steps to safeguard the government from additional infringements. (Roi Kais)
