The Ministerial Committee for Legislative Affairs approved the bill submitted by Knesset Member Tamar Zandberg (Meretz) that allows a paternity leave consisting of three paid vacation days and five sick days at the expense of the employer.
The bill was proposed previously by Minister Uri Ariel, and was passed in first reading with the 18th Knesset. MK Zandberg now submitted the bill again in accordance with new agreements that were reached with the Economy and Finance Ministries, with cooperation of the opposition and coalition. (Moran Azulay)
