Human bones found in Upper Galilee, may be missing soldier
None
Human bones were found two weeks ago by an Independence War veteran who discovered them near a memorial site in the kibbutz of Malkia in the Upper Galilee. The IDF are investigating whether these are the remains of an Oded Battalion soldier, one of six soldiers declared missing since 1948. Identifying the remains may shed light on the whereabouts of the other soldiers.
The IDF Spokesperson's Unit said: "The bones were transferred to investigators with the IDF's missing persons branch. The identity of the bones is under investigation." (Itay Blumental, Aviyahu Shapira)
