Rohani to UN's Syria envoy: Solution to crisis – expel 'terrorists'
Iran's President Hassan Rohani told the UN and Arab League's Envoy to Syria Lakhdar Brahimi that the solution for the Syrian crisis is expelling the "terror groups" active in the country, the Iranian state news agency IRNA reported.
According to the report, Rohani told Brahimi that dismantling the Assad regime of its chemical arsenal is the first step toward stability in Syria. He added that Iran is interested in participating in the peace conference in Geneva on the Syrian issue. (AFP)
